Taking the plunge! Orange Is The New Black star Laverne Cox goes bra-less in a low-cut pantsuit at the BET Awards.
Laverne Cox clearly had no intention of playing it safe on the BET Awards red carpet on Sunday. The 31-year-old Orange Is The New Black star instead wore a low-cut pantsuit that emphasized her curvy figure. With gold accents and some incredible heels, it was impossible to miss the Emmy-nominated actress at the Los Angeles event.
Her hair loose and hanging in long curls down the length of her back, Laverne managed to combine a bit of simplicity with the glamorous look. Gold jewellery - dangling earrings and multi-chained necklaces hanging low on the chest - accentuated the look, while Laverne went for smoky eyes and natural-hued lipstick for her makeup. The pantsuit itself had a blazer-style top worn open to the navel, where a gold-accented belt held the fabric in place.
Thanks to the low-cut V-neck, the actress' chest peeked through. Below loose, ankle-length trousers, Laverne wore an incredible pair of gunmetal-grey pumps decorated with a matrix of round spikes. It has been a busy week for the OITNB actress, who unveiled her wax figure at the San Francisco Madame Tussauds on Friday.

'I am so deeply honoured to have been asked to be part of the Madame Tussauds legacy,' Laverne said in a statement released earlier in the week. 'When I think about being who I am, a black trans woman from a working class background raised in Mobile, Alabama, this honour feels even more improbable and extraordinary,' she added. Best-known for her breakout role as inmate Sophia Burset in Orange Is The New Black, Laverne's rising star power has landed her cover photos for Time, Essence, and Entertainment Weekly. She was nominated for the Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy in 2014 and has since appeared in additional guest roles on shows like Girlfriends' Guide To Divorce and The Mindy Project.
