I was lucky enough to get sent a few bottles of RPR haircare recently. The brand were good enough to send me a shampoo, conditioner and thickening spray.
I was delighted to see the thickening spray in particular because I have the world's thinnest hair. I'm a natural blonde with naturally straight hair which means it's limp, lank and a bit meh. Which is why I've cut all of it in recent months (including shaving my head in March) in the hope it will thicken it up a bit. Nothing works. So the first thing I will talk about is the thickening spray.
I have noticed a huge difference with this. Prior to using the spray, I was using the Surf Spray from Bumble and Bumble which, if I am honest, didn't do much for me. I know people rave about that product but I've never been blown away by it. So switching to the RPR means styling has been a lot easier on me since my hair feels thicker and holds a style easier. I've been raving about this product on Instagram as well.
So who are RPR?
RPR are an Australian brand of premium hair care established in 1978. They aim to provide quality hair products to hairdressers and clients. They design products that hairdressers can use and mix to create a limitless range for every hair type. Which is why, I've had great success for them. They listened to what I needed from my hair care and then sent me products I could actually use to improve my hair condition.
What also mattered to me was that the company do not test on animals and promote sustainable business practices. They have gone from being a local product to a sought after brand across the globe. Which is true - Nottingham is very far from Australia!!!
Now, back to the brand.
I am very late writing about the hair care. This is due to my work schedule going mental over the last few weeks. I've been everywhere (as those who follow my social media will know) including Wales and this weekend I was in Northumberland. I work outside at the moment (long story) and I am forever in a hot and sweaty mess in a field writing about sports. So when I've been able to get to a hotel (post work dinners and drinks) I have just sunk into the bed and collapsed ready for the next day. Yesterday I worked 9am until 12 midnight - not complaining - I love my job! It has meant that some of my reviews are held up at the moment. Eeep! Sorry!
I've been enjoying the shampoo as well. I got sent the 'My Thicker, Fuller, Stronger Shampoo' which is the one in the light blue bottle. So here comes the science: it contains Carob Amino Acids combined with advanced Baipexil Botanical Complex to deliver actives that help to remove follicle clogging impurities and instantly give the appearance of fuller, thicker hair. Hair is strengthened from roots to tips helping to reduce breakage and hair fall. Hair is revitalized and full of energy. Safe for coloured & chemically treated hair.
What this has meant for me is that my bleach blonde short hair has seemed incredibly clean, bright and thick. I've actually had people comment on it because it looks great. I'm sold on it.

I'm going to attempt the conditioner this week. The reason I haven't already used it is that I have had a bit of a struggle attempting to get my usual spiky punk effect hair when my limp fine hair has come in contact with conditioner. I will get a proper chance to test it this week when a mate stays over - she has almost waist length hair. So the challenge is on!

I'm obsessed with face masks so I'm not sure if starting an obsession with hair masks too is the right choice!
I've been up front about being sent this product for review but I genuinely love it. I'm very happy with the shampoo and spray. In fact, I will be phasing out the Bumble Surf spray and just using this from now on. Delighted. Thank you so much to everyone at RPR for sending me the products. I'm sold!!!
